Essential read

Probably more 10 years since this book was written. But many of its fundamental frequency holds reliable . The account book is and then clear and precise. Thusly direct to the level when u start reading u North Korean won't break off

5 stars for Kindle version

Fast and easy book to read. Some recyclable info, specially on the 2-period RSI. But boilers suit IT`s not complete at every, and is more directed to daily charts. Even then, backtested just about of those strategies for tense 12 years and the success is far from the Lapplander achieved by the author. On lower timeframes information technology`s even worse. The 2-period RSI has some good uses on lower timeframes too, still. Fast and easy book to read. Some useful info, specially on the 2-period RSI. There is some clearly not working material - e.g. supposedly rising positions on the last days of a month. A simple coup d'oeil at the next-to-last a couple of months proves this completely wrong. Likewise there is a indolent chapter with just an interview transcript all but the "mind". There is an newsworthy idea close to not buying breakouts and trading on 2-day RSI though. Larry has very much of knowledge and he enjoys teaching the book has much of disparate strategies that make very common sense

Opportune ideas, poor stats

Stats for all strategies could Be just a solution of curve fitting, no evidences is provided to show other than. Also none of the strategies let in measurements of take a chanc, drawdowns, equity curves, etc.

This book was publicized in 2008 so I suppose that many of the described approaches would not work now (simply I should still test and see). However, I found some interesting ideas which I in person ingest not seen before. Information technology is rather good in this see.

My ideal record book is a good short register, that avoids filler, has lots of practical information, and is told with a bit of humor. This book fits at least mosts of those criteria. At or so 140 pages of large textbook with several charts, this was definitely a light read.

One thing that is glaringly missing in the world of trading books is statistics, especially for shorter timeframes. While not focused on very minuscule timeframe intraday trading, this book does at least focus on short term swing trading (what some might call 'guerrilla' trading) and provides pages and pages of stats to back up the strategies that are touted.

That said, edges that are published openly would usually run to fade over time, and since this book is several years old, one has to inquire if any of the strategies it promoted still work.

Regardless of that, I think this book is stillness meriting the read if only for the way it teaches the reader to entertain trading: using verifiable edges supported on mere rulesets.
